Friend’s Forever: A Dog donated blood to a dying Cat
A very rare kind of animal rescue. A black Labrador named Macy helped save the life of a a New Zealand cat by donating blood to him after he ingested rat poison. The cat, called Rory, went limp after eating the poison and he was dying. Due to internal bleeding of the cat, blood transfusion was needed immediately. But, the rescuers didn’t have enough time for the cat blood to arrive or be matched. The situation was a “do or die”. It was one of those emergency situations where they didn’t have any other options available.
The operation was risky as it was never done before. Though risky, but, after transfusion, Rory is just doing fine. Rory responded really quickly to the transfusion and is now back to normal.
