Cox’s Bazar is a small town of Bangladesh which has a sea beach located along the Bay of Bengal. It is known for its wide 125km(approximate) sandy beach which is the world’s longest natural sandy sea beach with a gentle slope. It was named after captain Hiram Cox, a British officer. This beautiful place is also known as “Panowa” which means ‘yellow flower’. Other tourist attractions near Cox’s Bazar, like as Maheshkhali island offers panoramic scenic beauty and is covered by a range of low hills. A number of people are also involved in fishing and collecting seafood and sea products for their livelihood. Various kinds of Oyster, Snail, Pearl and their ornaments are very popular with tourists in seaside and city stores. And as the locals would say, “Swagatam!”.
