Boosting Memory in Honeybees- Better Pollination in Plants
Boosting Memory in Honeybees: Better Pollination in Plants
Scientists have discovered that caffeine in nectar improves a honeybee’s memory and could help plants in recruiting more bees to spread their pollens. The study says that caffeine, naturally found in the nectar of coffee and citrus flowers, boosts memory of honeybees, so that they remember the flower’s scent and continue their search for other coffee plants to find more nectar, leading to better pollination in plants.
