Bengal slow loris(Nycticebus bengalensis) is a largest species of slow loris that are native to northern rain forests of Bangladesh and Indo-China, a little range in Northern India. It is mainly vegetarian and very shy animal. They are about 26cm long and weigh 2-2.6 kg. The Bengal slow loris has large eyes, round head, and short ears. They produce a toxin from a scent gland of the elbow. It is known to be one of the most adorable and friendly animal. They can be kept as pet.
The Bengal slow loris was long considered a subspecies until it was recognized as a distinct species in 2001.
