The Aggtelek National Park is the first Hungarian National Park dedicated to the protection of abiotic values, superficial land formations and caves. Its an area rich in cultural and natural Assets. One of the most endearing treasures of the National Park is the Baradla Cave, which is the biggest and the most magnificent cave in Hungary. Along with the caves many endemic species are also found which include birds, like- Common Buzzard, Eastern Imperial Eagle, White-throated Dipper, Crested Tit, Goldcrest, Eurasian Bullfinch, Hazel Grouse, Red-backed Shrike; mammals, suck as- Eurasian Lynx, Red Deer, Gray Wolf and also many reptiles and butterflies.
