Xmas trees absorb greenhouse gas
Celebrating Christmas with Christmas tree adds one more reason to curb global warming. Christmas trees are absorbing methane, a super greenhouse gas.
Researchers at Lund University and Stock Holm University in Sweden claim that some trees including the Xmas trees absorb methane (CH4) gas from the atmosphere. This discovery shows that existence of more trees could lower down the concentration of methane in Earth’s atmosphere.
Trees are working harder at absorbing methane, so, can’t we all make a little effort of planting more trees rather than cutting them off??
