The Long-tailed Broadbill (Psarisomus dalhousiae) is a species of broadbill found in the Himalayas. It ranges from Bangladesh, India, Sri lanka to the countries of Southeast Asia and to Indonesia. The bird is a forest bird and not seen near human habitat. It is very social and lives in large flocks except in the mating season. The bird is about 22cm long with a bright green body. The face is bright yellow with black marking on head, which looks like a bike helmet on its head. The thick bill is bluish grey.The abdomen is yellowish green. It has a long blue tail that is often raised up and down. It can be identified by its shrill call.
