Dudhsagar waterfall, India
Dudhsagar waterfall, India
Dudhsagar waterfall is located on the Mandovi River in the state of Goa, and Karnataka border. It’s sixty kilometers from Panaji by road. This is one of the most attractive waterfall in India. Its height is 320 meters with 5 drops. You can visit this beautiful place through Indian rail and have to start your journey from ‘Castle Rock’ station. Another way is from Carambolim (Karmali Railway Station – Konkan Railways).
The area is encircled by a deciduous forest with a chic diversity. The falls don’t seem to be notably spectacular throughout the season however throughout the monsoon season but, the falls are fed by rains and kinda large force of water.
In India, the meaning of ‘Dudhsagar’ is Sea of milk. This is definitely one of my favorite waterfalls as it was the first waterfall I ever visited and the experience was totally enthralling. I happened to visit this fall during my trip to Goa. Located on the Goa -Karnataka border, this tiered waterfall makes for such a picturesque frame that it leaves the nature lovers spellbound. It would be interesting to know that the Hindi movie ” Chennai Express ” was shot here. For me this is the must visit waterfall in India!
