\nAsian paradise flycatcher is a forest bird and lives in deep evergreen tropical forests and is native to tropical Asia. They are found from Turkestan to Eastern Asia, all over India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Southwestern China, Indonesia, Malay archipelago and neighbouring areas. The bird is extinct in Singapore.<\/p>\n
\nThe Asian paradise flycatcher is a beautiful medium sized species of flycatcher. The adult has a total length of 19-22 cm with two 30 cm long central tail feathers. Some of the male birds have rufous or dark orange plumage while others have white plumage. Females always have rufous plumage with no longer tail feathers. The head is glossy black with black crown and crest. Females have greyish throat and underpart, the eyes are black with bright blue rings around the eyes.<\/p>\n
\nThey eat insects which they catch while flying. The bird makes a small cup shaped nest and lays eggs in it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
