Mimicry is one of the most wonderful protective devices in nature, a phenomenon which organisms bear to other animate or inanimate objects in form, colour and attitude. With the aid of mimicry, many organisms can escape the eyes of a predator or can exhibit an apparent aggressiveness or simply fool the predators by creating illusion.
\nAs you can see in this picture, each of the butterflies has a false structure on its posterior mimicking a head. It is a magnificent trick of evolution. As the predator tries to attack from the other end, which happens to be the true head, the butterfly sees it and flies away. This trick has been copied by the men who go looking for honey and woods in the mangrove forests of Bengal, which is the land of Royal Bengal tigers. They wear a mask on the back of their head so that the tiger can’t decide from which side to attack.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
