In many countries around the world celebrates on May 17th the International Day for Recycling. Although some organizations or Groups(related with reduce, reuse, recycle activities) around the world\u00a0celebrates on May 15th the International Day for Recycling.<\/p>\n

Recycling can be defined as the change of waste materials into new products to prevent wastage of potentially useful materials and reduce consumption of fresh raw materials.\u00a0Its a key component in the modern waste reduce and is the third component of the 3R’s waste hierarchy.In a broad sense, it is a part of an ethic of resource efficiency.<\/p>\n

Recycling is really just common sense. Until the ‘modern era ‘ , it was a common household activity.\u00a0As per the need of the hour, recycling is back and thousands and thousands of recycled products are being made from materials that would otherwise be piling up in some corner of our homes.\u00a0Almost every kind of material can be recycled in one way or the other.<\/p>\n

It can sometimes be confusing and difficult to know weather you are following all the right rules. Don’t worry, \u00a0here are few recycling tips that you are gonna find useful..<\/p>\n

1. Make some space next to your dustbin for a recycling container- then its as simple to recycle as it is to throw it away.<\/p>\n

2. Sort out all the items and put them aside, according to their reusable value. All cardboard and paper should be kept clean and dry.<\/p>\n

3. The plastics and tin cans should be washed and squashed before placing in the recycle bin. Food cans should be cleaned and rinsed before being put in the recycling container.<\/p>\n

4. All food waste, vegetables and fruit peelings can be wrapped in an old newspaper before placing them in a compost pit.<\/p>\n

5. Any old or broken electrical items can be exchanged at various shops.<\/p>\n

RECYCLING doesn’t just make sense. It makes a huge difference to our environment , quality of life and our country’s future. It also saves money , creates job and generates revenue , thereby proving economically beneficial.It provides us respite from the ‘garbage crisis’ . The more we recycle ,less garbage is generated.\u00a0Being the most evolved species on this planet , the onus lies on us .. it is our responsibility to preserve and protect our resources for ourselves and for the generations to come.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
