World Food Day<\/p><\/div>\n

Every year, World Food Day is celebrated on 16th October to mark the anniversary of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in 1945. The day is celebrated widely by many other organisations concerned with food security, including the World Food Programme.\u00a0The focus is how good health throughout life can help hunger men and women lead full and productive lives and be a resource for their families and communities. Ageing concerns each and every one of us \u2013 whether young or old, male or female, rich or poor \u2013 no matter where we live.<\/p>\n

The Hungarian Delegation, led by the former Hungarian Minister of Agriculture and Food, Dr. P\u00e1l Rom\u00e1ny has played an active role at the 20th Session of the FAO Conference and suggested the idea of celebrating the WFD(World Food Day) worldwide.\u00a0Theme of this year(2013): ‘Sustainable Food Systems for Food Security and Nutrition’.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
