It is the only animal that can kill a human merely by being touched. The name is probably because of the fact that the Indigenous Americans have long used the slime of the poison dart frog\u2019s skin on their arrows. It\u2019s an effective<!--more--> slayer of monkeys and people alike. The frogs\u2019 skin emits a violently potent toxin that causes paralysis, internal bleeding, organ failure and death.
