Flying Frigatebird<\/p><\/div>\n

Description:\u00a0<\/strong>Frigatebird is a species of seabird belonging to the bird family Frigatidae. There are about 5 species in the genus Fregata.\u00a0Frigatebird is a large bird with long pointed wings that measures about 2.3 meters. The male bird has shiny iridescent black body, leg and bill and deeply forked long tail, and the female has white underbelly. The male has a distinctive deep red throat pouch that is spread like a balloon during courtship. It has\u00a0largest wingspan considering it’s body weight. Frigatebird can’t swim, walk well either, it can’t take off from flat surface, but it is an excellent aerial bird. It seldom lands and can fly up-to 3 days without a break. Frigatebird makes large colonies on remote islands and breeds on small but strong trees and cliffs.<\/p>\n
