Hence the name &#8216;flying&#8217; fish. To glide upward out of the water, a flying fish moves its tail up to 70 times per second.\u00a0True flight is not possible. It reaches a size of 30 cm to 45 cm. Scales are large; cycloid. Eyes are also large.
