Jupiter, the largest planet of the solar system, rotates very fast on its axis, once every 9.9 hours. This has formed a pattern of stripes in its atmosphere, which runs parallel to the equator. the lighter zones are rising masses of warm clouds. On the other hand, the dark ones are descending cold clouds. This pattern is distributed by storms. One of these, the ‘large red spot’ is so huge that it can be seen from earth with a telescope.<\/p>\n

Just for information, Jupiter is not only the largest, but the heaviest planet of the solar system. It has 63 moons as far as our scientists have discovered. Galileo, with his self-made telescope, four of them as early as 400 years ago.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
