The Bombardier beetle has a unique and dangerous ability to defend itself from predators. When threatened it shoots boiling hot liquid from its abdomen up to 70 times rapidly. The liquid is a combination of hydrogen peroxide and hydroquinones which causes a chemical reaction inside the beetle. The boiling hot liquid is very harmful for other animals even for humans.
